Adventures on Promise Island: Archive Posts| My Christmas Letter to you. | | Posted by Ruth on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:18pm | Happy Birthday Jesus | Merry Christmas 2011
I know that you will keep the "Christ" in Christmas,
because if you don't, then your life will be a "mess."
2011 has been a year of “firsts” for me:
1. My first book signings for Adventures on Promise Island, were at the Indianapolis Public Library, Manchester College for Homecoming, and at the Indiana Capitol.
2. I danced during the National Day of Prayer on the West steps of the Indiana Capitol, and once again during worship for the Regional Aglow Rally in Plainfield.
3. Symptoms of a TIA (stroke) manifested and sent me to the hospital, without insurance. They gave me a 40% discount, very generous. I allowed myself to worry instead of trust God to intervene in major areas of my life. I am doing just fine now, thanks to ASEA, Redox Signaling Molecules. Praise The Lord!
4. Blogging became an added way of posting my thoughts and featuring people who have overcome challenges in their lives. Check it out http://ruthvawter.authorweblog.com
5. Planned, organized, and hosted Blessing services at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for different groups: teens, pets, Back to School Blessing, and Singles.
6. Wrote and acted in a skit “Single and Secure” for our first Singles Blessing Banquet.
7. Keerstin and I attended a Christian Youth Retreat in Clarksville, IN, in April.
8. I became a fan of Facebook. I can keep in touch with birthdays and special events in the lives of my family and friends.
9. New costumes were needed for the Easter program, so I sewed 13 for our church.
10. Used a hairdryer to quickly dry noodle dough at Angia’s for dinner.
11. Co-authored a devotion book with my Sunday School Class: 40 Days of Prayer for Super Bowl XLVI. You can find it on my blog, coming soon.
12. Finally learned how to do 3-Way-Calling.
During January to May, I continued to tutor with Title 1 at I.P.S. #107. My position was dropped in the fall and I only taught 2 weeks during the Interim Session with IPS teaching Year-Round. The Good News Club continues every Monday after school. I praise God we have this Bible Study after school. I plan to begin Title 1 at I.P.S. #63 on January 10.
Toward the end of May, I helped my sister, Angeline, celebrate her 92nd birthday with Elvis. Donna June, Angeline, and I were able to meet in June. Pictures were taken, and hugs were tighter as we knew it might have been the last time we were all together. Donna went home to Florida and nearly died, but has improved, except for her memory. She looks great for 94. When I grow up, I want to be like my precious sisters.
In June, I attended the The Write to Publish Christian Writer’s Conference at Wheaton College for several days. Afterward, I met with my cousins at Fox Lake: Barb Drabek and Betsy & Tom Shaffer. They are doing great.
Keerstin and I flew to Seattle, WA to be with Angia and John in June. Keerstin’s trip was a reward from Aunt Angia for maintaining good grades in seventh grade. We visited my first cousin, Lori Schofield and her family; and celebrated Father’s Day by riding a steam engine train. A drive along the Pacific Coast wetted our appetite for history as we toured the Rogers and Clark Museum where they reached the Pacific Ocean. In Seattle, we visited the Science and Music Museums, and the Space Needle. Angia and I drove to Enumclaw to meet my publishers at WinePress Group. They host a very impressive publishing business. Old fashioned noodles were made one afternoon as a treat for John’s family.
Angia still works for Boeing on complex parts for airplanes. John works for the City of Kent training people on how to use computers and supporting multiple Special Olympics activities and events. They both coach the Special Olympics Swim Team which continues to be successful on the state level. Both enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling. Angia is a creative scrapbook artist.
On 11-18-11, Jamie married John Sumner in Indianapolis. John installs satellite dishes and loves to fish and hunt. Jamie worked at the Guitar Center warehouse until the weather reached 100+ this summer. They are remodeling her condo throughout. Jamie and her Dad go pistol and rifle shooting together several times a month, weather permitting.
John’s daughter, Lashay, who is 8, earned the AB Honor Roll in third grade. John’s son, Dorian, will turn 6 on Christmas Eve. He enjoys learning new skills in Kindergarten.
Keerstin actively applies herself as an eighth grader and plays the flute in the Eighth Grade Band and Jazz Band. She played a solo at the church Christmas Program. In January, she will begin competing on the swim team. Kayla is adjusting to life as a seventh grader and enjoys playing the cello. She bravely played a Christmas solo at church, after just 3 months of training. Both girls went to Spring Hill Christian Camp in the summer. Keerstin attended Water Sports and Kayla chose Horse Camp again.
Katelyn continues to improve in second grade. While sissies were away at camp, she enjoyed “Grandma Camp” with me for several days.
Jamie and I have formed a catering business named, “A Taste of Heaven”. If you need delicious food and fun entertainment for your party, leave me a message on this blog and I will get back with you.
Indy-West Aglow Lighthouse continues to minister to people who attend our meetings. If you are available on the first Thursday of the month, at 7 p.m., then we welcome you to join us at Crestwood Village West, in the Ballroom at 230 Welcome Way Blvd. We are excited about our new location. The birthday cake for Jesus was at the birthday party we celebrated during our December meeting to honor Jesus.
As usual, I am pursuing ways to stay young and healthy. I have found it with ASEA. Check out my website for more info. www.rev.teamasea.com. ASEA is the same formula as your cells so it goes directly to your damaged cells to restore them. The body was created to heal itself if given proper diet and nourishment. ASEA is like the electrical switch that turns on your body for healthy productivity.
You are in my Christmas and New Year Prayers for good health, a happy home, prosperity, and peace with people around you.
Please join me to pray for peace, protection, and prosperity for our country in 2012.
God bless you with favor in all that you do in 2012. .
Take time to wish Jesus a happy birthday.

| | | | | A Vision of Hope | | Posted by Ruth on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 6:08pm | While attending a woman's seminar on Saturday, the leader suggested I ask Jesus to give me a mental image of "hope". I relaxed in my auditorium seat, not anticipating anything. Instantly, a rainbow appeared in my visual mind. At the center top of the rainbow sat Jesus. He looked at me and smiled as he slid down the rainbow laughing at me. He grabbed my hand and we slid down the rainbow together several times.
Jesus said, "Lighten up. Relax and enjoy my promises."
I found myself unwinding from a challenging 48 hours. I told people, at the conference, that I had been riding on a roller coaster of emotions. Each time we floated down the side of the rainbow, layers of stress were absorbed in the radiant rainbow. I found myself laughing out loud. Chains of anger and unforgiveness were broken so I could be set free to find joy in the promises and presence of Jesus Christ.
I have shared this vision with several people who struggled to find "HOPE." They needed to know that Jesus loved them and wanted them to enjoy their lives. Do you need HOPE? Do you need peace?
The promises in the Bible are real. I have only included a dozen promises from the Holy Bible, the Living Word of God. You pray the scriptures to proclaim the promises on earth.
Psalms 29:11 "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.:
Psalm 37:4-5 "Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."
Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
John 3"36 "He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him."
Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
God said:
Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eyes."
Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strenghten you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Jeremiah 29:13 "And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not."
Hosea 14:4 "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for my anger is turned away from them."
Jesus said:
Matthew 7:7 -8 "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened." Luke 11:9 -10
John 14:12 -14 "He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."
Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be winesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Smaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Now, ask Jesus to give you a vision of HOPE. He knows exactly what you need to see in order for you to understand that he is with you, guiding, and providing for you. Relax and enjoy the ride with Jesus.
Share your vision.
| | | | | 11 - 11- 11 Day 11 Prepare for Miracles | | Posted by Ruth on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1:19am | 11 – 11 – 11 Day 11 Prepare for Miracles
11 – 11- 11, you made it through the eleven days of devotions to encourage you to FAST and pray to purify yourself, pray for your church and your country. Going through this process, the Holy Spirit has revealed things to you that needed to be changed or improved. I pray that you seriously examined yourself each day to develop a closer relationship with God and Jesus, through the connecting agent of the Holy Spirit. Now you are ready to expect miracles in your life.
The definition of “miracle” according to the Webster’s Dictionary:
1. An extraordinary event manifesting divine interventions in human affairs.
2. And extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing or accomplishment.
3. A divinely natural phenomenon experienced humanly as the fulfillment of spiritual law.
Did you pray to reconcile with someone? Now is the time to expect that miracle to take place. Do you need a health breakthrough? Believe your miracle has shipped from the dock of Heaven. Are you actively seeking employment? Believe your miracle awaits you at your next opportunity. Whatever challenges you face, believe in a miracle.
Eleven plus eleven plus eleven equals thirty- three. Jesus was thirty-three when he completed his ministry. That number represents “promise.” In the negative, it could mean “triple judgment”. The purpose of this devotion book was to pray for God’s mercy and grace to break “spiritual death” off of us individually, our church, and our country.
Day 1: You learned The Purpose of Cleansing Your “Temple.” Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. His desire is to live in a temple that he fills with love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, self-control, gentleness, and faithfulness. Unfortunately, he finds a small corner, the size of a closet, in your heart, at first. You have a free spirit to choose your actions. The more you rely upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the more rooms he fills in your heart. The Holy Spirit sweeps sin out the door, at your request. Your heart becomes more like a holy temple. The good news: the Holy Spirit will move into your heart to stay, no matter what you have done in your life. He loves you and will be your “change agent” whenever you ask.
Day 2: You were challenged to Know Who You are in Christ. You were created in the image of God. Jesus is looking for his bride. Are you ready?
Day 3: This lesson taught you how to Identify the Enemy. Satan, your enemy, strives to confuse you, distract you, lie to you, steal from you in order to stifle your love of God. Now that you are aware of the plans of the enemy, you will be wise when challenges attack you. Pray for God to hide you from the enemy to protect you from harm.
Day 4: Since you have the Holy Spirit living in you, then you can use the Examples of the Strategies of Jesus for spiritual warfare. Apply the teachings of Jesus.
Day 5: You are not alone -- Utilize the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit breathed life into Jesus after he died. The Holy Spirit connects Heaven to Earth. Pray, wait, and listen. You have the power of the Holy Spirit. Connect to the electricy that lights your way through life.
Day 6: In order to fight the enemy, you must possess Weapons of Our Warfare. Prayer and FASTING are major ingredients for success. The full armor of God will provide the spiritual weapons to fight a battle in the spirit world, invisible to the eye.
Day 7: One of the most difficult lessons in obedience is Worshipful Giving. Giving money to God in return for the blessings God sent to you defines your relationship with him. You can only test God in your giving of tithes and offerings. You offer God money, but he views the amount you kept and your heart when you gave.
Day 8: Intimate Prayer, Repentance, & Reconciliation challenged you to reflect on deep rooted problems from your past and present. Were you truly able to repent of hidden sins? Were you able to reconcile with someone? Pray for these miracles to manifest, soon.
Day 9: When you allow the Holy Spirit to work through you, then you produce Fruitful Activities. What evidence do people observe by watching you to prove you have the Holy Spirit breathing through your actions and words?
Day 10: Intentional Worship Through Communion challenged my writing the most. This message, based on my prophetic dream, deemed a clear understanding to challenge Christians to take the act of Communion seriously. I plead guilty for not realizing the deep importance of the sacred ritual of Communion. I have knelt at the altar, begging Jesus to forgive me, knowing all along, that I’d probably repeat the sin the following week. Tthe quilt drove me to the altar week after week until I gained the strength to withstand sin's temptations.. I was responsible for making the altar filthy with my sins. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to cleanse the altar in my church.
Jesus loves you so deeply that he died on the cross for YOU. Yes, YOU! The service of Communion is to show a purified heart before God so your prayers will be answered…better than you can imagine.
Day 11: Prepare for Miracles now that your heart is purer, your mind refreshed, and your soul renewed.
Expect miracles in your life. I opened my front door yesterday, looking for a rainbow because of the coloring in the sky. The vibrant colors adorned the sky as the rainbow arched across the heavens. My granddaughter viewed a double rainbow from school. The rainbow displays the message that God’s promises belong to you today. Seize your promises from the Bible. Write the miracles you expect to experience:
___________________________________________________________________________
___________________________________________________________________________
Pray for your church. Teach your parishioners to look for miracles. The more people expect miracles, the more they receive them. The more you praise God for your miracles, the more miracles you receive. Write the miracles in your church. Ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse the altar of your church. Purify the altar to restore holiness in God's temple.
___________________________________________________________________________
___________________________________________________________________________
Pray for your country. Pray for miracles to happen in your country. Pray and FAST for your country to be blessed and favored of God. Pray for the leaders to turn to God for wisdom and guidance to overcome challenges. Pray for peace, unity, and love to abound throughout the land and with other nations. Pray for protection from the “enemies”. Confuse and destroy the plans of the enemies. (Psalm 70) Speak words of hope over your country instead of word curses that tear it down. Pray for the President to be a godly man, seeking the wisdom from God. Proclaim promises of success over the president instead of words of doom. The words you speak in the atmosphere come to pass, so declare the best for each person in your government.

I cleansed my temple.
I have been forgiven of my sins.
I have reconciled with others.
I am peaceful in my heart.
I recognize the schemes of the enemy and conquer him.
I worship God with my time, talents, and money.

My life radiates peace, love, and joy.
I share my faith with people I meet.
I am blessed and highly favored of the Lord. Amen! | | | | | 11 - 10 -11 Day 10 Intentional Worship Through Communion | | Posted by Ruth on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 12:25am | 11 – 10 – 11 Day 10 Intentional Worship Through Communion
On October 6, 2011, a convicting dream woke me from my deep sleep. I was teaching in an old church where people were sharing testimonies and prayer concerns. A teen shared her problem of being raped, but was ridiculed by a few people in the church. She was deeply hurt, rejected in the other church, and almost turned her back on God. I suggested we take communion to forgive and heal the wounds. I directed someone to find the communion, but immediately, a man brought me the plates of bread and juice. I walked to the altar and discovered it was filthy from the food left behind from past communions. I pushed the debris aside to set the plates on the altar. The filth was so vile and disgusting that it robbed the sacred experience of the purpose of the “Love Feast: with Jesus". No one ate the communion.
This dream reverberated in my mind until I wrote the entire dream and asked the Holy Spirit for the interpretation. The interpretation is for the church in general.
1. I believe the man who brought me the communion elements was Jesus. He is ALWAYS prepared to dine with you at the communion rail or in your home. He eagerly anticipates this precious time together. Jesus suffered, was beaten, died, rose from the dead, conquered Satan in Hell, intercedes with God…JUST FOR YOU!
2. People are not sincere when they take communion. When you come to the altar to take communion, you are to seek righteousness – purify your mind and heart to have a right relationship with God.
3. Some people are taking communion to be seen. They bought a new hat, or outfit, so they saunter along the isle glancing left and right to catch any eyes for attention. Maybe a person moans and cries in fake tones that disrupt worship. If you are truly sorry for your sins, then you’d see people draped over the altar railing or lay face down on the floor, begging mercy. God sees the heart, not your actions. God transfers mercy through the Holy Spirit. Just reach out and receive this marvelous gift of peace, coated in forgiveness.
4. Communion is a ritual with no meaning or even understanding of the serious nature of this sacred event. They ask for forgiveness, but leave their sins on the altar with no intention of stopping the actions. Their guilt convicted them for a time. When presented with the opportunity to continue in the sinful lifestyle, they return. The altar remained dirty, piled with sins, after each communion.
5. The CHURCH is spiritually dead unless the altar is cleaned, people truly repent of their sins, stop hurting people, and take authority over the enemy which is attacking the church from within. “Church Hurt” must be curtailed quickly to prevent people from leaving the church and slamming the door on their way out. Be quick to forgive, and oh, yes…choose to forget. Replaying the painful event, like a video in your mind, is not releasing the problem to God. Forgive again, on a deeper level, release the situation to God, and ask for the memories to be healed. Pray for this negative problem to have a positive solution to honor God. Joy does come in the morning.
6. We have too many people who are sick in our church, physically and mentally. They are taking communion at a dirty altar so their prayers are not being answered.
a. They hope for healing instead of believe they will be healed. They lack faith in God.
b. Some parishioners feel like they don’t deserve to be well. Maybe they think their sickness is punishment for doing something wrong in the past.
c. People usually develop illnesses from wrong decisions. Reusing needles among drug addicts can transmit AIDS and hepatitis. Overeating sweets and fatty foods can cause other serious health issues.
d. Making wise health decisions prevent sickness. Preserving your body for your spouse prevents you from receiving sexually transmitted diseases. Exercise properly to stimulate a healthy functioning body.
e. When you confess a sickness with words or thought, then it will usually manifest in your body. “I’m catching a cold.” Stop! Confess healing and rebuke the sickness, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Double your dose of vitamin C and Zink.
Word traveled to Paul concerning the problems in the Corinthian church with communion. Does this scripture resemble the problems in my dream?
“23-26Let me go over with you again exactly what goes on in the Lord's Supper and why it is so centrally important. I received my instructions from the Master himself and passed them on to you. The Master, Jesus, on the night of his betrayal, took bread.
Having given thanks, he broke it and said,
‘This is my body, broken for you.
Do this to remember me.
After supper, he did the same thing with the cup:
This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you.
Each time you drink this cup, remember me.
What you must solemnly realize is that every time you eat this bread and every time you drink this cup, you reenact in your words and actions the death of the Master.
You will be drawn back to this meal again and again until the Master returns.
You must never let familiarity breed contempt.
27-28Anyone who eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Master irreverently is like part of the crowd that jeered and spit on him at his death. Is that the kind of "remembrance" you want to be part of? Examine your motives, test your heart, come to this meal in holy awe.
29-32If you give no thought (or worse, don't care) about the broken body of the Master when you eat and drink, you're running the risk of serious consequences.
That's why so many of you even now are listless and sick,
and others have gone to an early grave.
If we get this straight now, we won't have to be straightened out later on.
Better to be confronted by the Master now than to face a fiery confrontation later.
33-34So, my friends, when you come together to the Lord's Table, be reverent and courteous with one another. If you're so hungry that you can't wait to be served, go home and get a sandwich. But by no means risk turning this Meal into an eating and drinking binge or a family squabble. It is a spiritual meal—a love feast.” 1 Corinthians 11:23 – 34 The Message
The application of the dream, the Holy Spirit gave me, confirms this message Paul wrote to the Corinthian church.
1. Communion is a sacred time of worship with your Lawyer Jesus and Judge God, seeking grace, mercy, forgiveness, and love. The Holy Spirit connects Heaven to Earth. Through Jesus, you live under “grace”, not the “legal law” of the Old Testament. The commandments provide the foundation for you to follow in order to live a better life, but no longer do you have to offer animal sacrifices to atone for not obeying the commands. Jesus paid that price because he loves you that much. Jesus stated the greatest commandments are to “...love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul; and to love your neighbor as yourself…” paraphrased from Matthew 22:36 0 40 KJV. When you love God that much, then you will want to serve him with all of your heart, mind, and soul.
2. Teach people the importance of taking communion seriously for their physical health and life eternal. When you drink the juice and eat the bread, form a picture of Jesus in your mind. Is Jesus personally offering you the sacraments of his blood and body? If it’s not too graphic for you, visualize his blood flowing through your veins, restoring your health, and giving you the wisdom to answer your prayers. Make the “Love Feast” personal with Jesus as if he were pouring his life and his anointing into yours. The closeness is so real and precious that you will never want to stray from his presence. Tears are flowing from my eyes as I am writing this part. Jesus is reaching out to you this very moment to let you know how much he loves you. Listen and believe him. No matter what you have done in the past, he knows and is always waiting for you. Seek Jesus and he will be there waiting for you with open arm, ready and willing to restore you so you can be healed of sickness, forgiven of sins, healed of negative thinking, and live a happy, productive life. Ask now, the time is right! Jesus LOVES YOU!
3. The Holy Spirit told me to tell people to spend more time repenting before they take communion. Lay your sins on the altar and the Holy Spirit will take them away to Jesus, and burn out your desire to continue to sin. Examine your thoughts as well as your actions. Release the hidden sins in the closet of your mind and heart. Fill the void with the love and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
4. Jesus will accept communion when people:
a) understand the meaning of communion, the “Love Feast” with the Trinity;
b) sincerely turn away from their sinful life-style;
c) recognize hidden sin in their mind and ask Jesus to forgive them;
d) ask for the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit to be alive and active in their lives to help them live a lifestyle, pleasing to God.
5. We need to teach prevention of illness, healthy life style, healthy eating, forgiving one another quickly, and repenting of sins. Anger and unforgiveness are the 2 major root causes of sickness in your body. When you stay angry with someone, you hurt yourself when you remain angry without resolving the situation. Anger ignites “cancerous cells” in your body. The other person goes on with his/her life, many times, unaware of your rage. Anger robs you of joy and peace. The endorphins in your brain release for healing when you remain peaceful, happy, and joyful. Laugh often and long. Think about joyful thoughts. Do good deeds for people, even the person who hurt you. Kindness kills anger.
6. Teach people how to defeat the enemy through prayer, Bible reading, joining forces with church groups, and communion. Reread Days 3, 4, 5 and 6 in this study. Start a Singles Ministry to encourage singles that they are people of worth and valuable to God. Begin home Bible studies with people in your community to support each other.
7. Pray for your youth who are "Mentally raped" by the world around them. Support the youth when they experience crises situations. Pray and teach them to seek godly wisdom. Focus your attention on the youth so they will be grounded in applying the Living Word of God in their hearts and minds. You are obligated to transfer the truth of the Gospel of Jesus to future generations. The revival will begin with the youth in the near future.
8. Finally, read Psalm 51 daily, as a prayer of your refining, for a month before taking communion. Examine your heart and mind carefully as you read the Psalm aloud. Read Psalm 51 in different versions of the Bible to gain a deeper cleansing. Use these resources for a variety of Bible versions. (www.BibleGateway.com or www.BibleResources.org)
Examine your heart, mind, and actions. Seriously…think about any hurtful words spoken in anger, jealousy, or pride. Ask the Holy Spirit to purge you of negative thinking and living. Ask the Holy Spirit to plant seeds of fruitfulness and faithfulness in the garden of your mind and heart so there will be NO room for the enemy to re-enter to destroy you. Write your prayer of mercy and seek forgiveness. Receive God’s grace, forgiveness, love, hope, and peace. “Miraculous” describes the trade and transformation in your life.
______________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________
Pray for your church. Ask the leaders of your congregation to pray over the physical altar of the church to purify it so Jesus feels welcome to dine at his banquet table. Teach people the importance of the meaning of communion so they receive answers to their prayers. Read 1 Corinthians 11: 27 – 32 again. Teach people to test their hearts and humbly come to the holy table in awe.
_____________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________
Pray for your country. Kneel at the altar seeking forgiveness of sins for your nation. If you have been FASTING and PRAYING for your country, these ten days, then God has heard you. Many hearts praying together are more effective. Continue to pray for the forgiveness of your country to prevent terrible things from happening to your borders. Write a repentance prayer for your country. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to mind problems for you to specifically pray for often, until they are resolved.
_____________________________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, please take the filthy, rotten thoughts in my heart and mind
to your recycling throne where you purify and restore them.
Jesus, please plead my case before God my Judge.
I seek your mercy to forgive me.
I am ready for a new heart and mind to live my life to honor and serve you.
Thank you, God, for answering my prayers of true repentance.
I promise to love, obey and serve you more each day.
Now I am ready to take communion, the love feast with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
| | | | | 11 - 09 - 11 Day 9 Fruitful Activities | | Posted by Ruth on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 5:49am | 11 – 09 - 11 Day 9 Fruitful Activities
In John 15:1 – 17 you read where Jesus told the disciples:
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit,
while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him,
he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers;
such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish,
and it will be given you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory,
that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love,
just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command.
14 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends,
15 for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
17 This is my command: Love each other.”
Jesus compares himself to a fruitful vine of life. God is the gardener. You are attached to Jesus because he called you to be his friend. When you obey his commandments and be obedient to his voice, then you operate in power with the anointing of God. He wants you to walk in the same anointing of his Son, Jesus Christ. God wants signs, wonders, and miracles to follow because the Holy Spirit works through you. Show love to each other, then you will be fruitful.
What does being fruitful look like?
1. Fruitful people obey the commandments of God.
2. Fruitful people are anointed by the Holy Spirit to pray boldly on the sick so sickness flees.
3. Fruitful people radiate love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, self-control, gentleness, kindness, and faithfulness to people around them.
4. Fruitful people recognize demonic oppression and tell demonic spirits to leave.
5. Fruitful people raise the dead person back to life.
6. Fruitful people receive answers to their prayers.

Reflect on the thought that Jesus chose you to be his friend who bears fruit that will last. Write a book, a poem, a song, an article, a skit, a blog, a sermon, or Twitter. Lead a person to accept Jesus as Savior. Mentor a new believer. Plant seeds of hope in hurting people. Travel to a mission in your city, another state, or country. Why did Jesus choose you and how much will you allow Jesus to work through you?

Jesus, thank you for choosing me to be your friend.
Come Holy Spirit, brune me of dead works so my new fruit will last.
Fertilize me with your love and I will declare your love wherever I go.
